Sue was a Ward of the State for a number of years, before being adopted into the lives of those she now calls family. Her biological mother was Aboriginal from the Wiradjuri tribal area of NSW and her biological father is Torres Strait Islander descent.
After a fight with Cancer, Sue decided to leave employment as a teacher to pursue her love of art. Sue's work reflects her concern for the environment and those who live within it. Her style at times can be detailed and political.
