Introducing Glass Artist Erin Conron

We are excited to welcome Glass Artist Erin Conron to The Gallery Eumundi. Erin is originally from Canberra and is now living on the Sunshine Coast. The glassworks that we are showcasing are exceptionally spectacular and already becoming a centre point of discussion.

The perfectly immaculate blown transparent spheres act as a canvas for the etched enamel mark-making which is multi fired under perfectly fine-tuned conditions to keep the form in place whilst fixing the requisite threads and intriguing patterns.

Erin is exploring the rhythm of life, the threads, invisible forces, patterns and memories which act throughout time. It is with this in mind that the emerging patterns resonate so beautifully on the glass forms.

If you can’t make it into the gallery to see these in person, please feel free to contact us for a FaceTime of these wonderful new works.

Art to Collect in June

Winter is here with short days and long nights, uggs and beanies are the go! For those of you on the other side of the world, enjoy basking in the summer sun. Whatever the season we are excited to be receiving new works into the gallery in the coming weeks to share with you online and in our gallery space.

Don’t forget it’s the last chance to chat with your accountant if you are a small business or have a home office to see if any of the ATO Tax Breaks on art purchases are relevant to you. It would be a shame to miss out!

Enjoy this week’s new works and do not hesitate to contact us should any of these pieces be of interest.

A Short Break…

We are heading off for a short break to visit Hobart in Tasmania, indulge in the cold weather, and experience Dark Mofo. We can’t wait!

Whilst we are away we have another art lover, Mike, keeping an eye on the gallery. He will be able to chat and guide you through any artworks, while we will be contactable behind the scenes. Check the opening times on the website as there will be flexible gallery times.

Art and Tax

Though it seems incredible, we are again in the last month of the Australian financial year! This is the time to chat with your financial adviser for advice on claiming art purchased this year as a tax deduction. For small businesses purchasing art, there may be some significant deductions available if you fulfil the criteria required by the ATO. It is definitely worth exploring.

As more of us work from home these days there is all the more reason to invest in art as a significant addition to our environment. In the workplace, art can inspire the working culture, conjuring calmness and well-being in a medical surrounding, inspirational strength in a board room, a discussion point in a communal office or an illuminating image as a backdrop for a Zoom meeting.

Art definitely inspires and adds an extra dimension to a working environment whether it merges into your home space or as a separate working entity.

We are here to help and advise you in finding the perfect art piece for your home or your work surroundings. Enjoy our art pieces this week and don’t hesitate to contact us should you be tempted…
