The Gallery Eumundi
Hi

Happy New Year!! As The Gallery Eumundi steps into its third decade, we are busy looking forward, planning and exploring new markets around the world. Once again we welcome you to the monthly edition of January's TheG News for the latest in art, exhibitions and fairs. This month we are showcasing some fabulous new works from a selection of artists as well as planning for our next two shows. We will also have a brief visit to Singapore in February and are happy to receive any requests from our Singapore clients for works to come with us. It is always a pleasure to bring works directly to you on our travels.

Obviously it has been a hard start to the year for us here in Australia, many of us have experienced the risk of fire for the first time and many fellow Australians have been in the midst of it. The horrendous effect on our country and our wildlife is devastating. Our hearts and thoughts go out to everyone affected and we hope that as a global nation we can can work together for a better world for all future generations.

Golden Rat Series 金鼠年系列 by Zhong Chen
In celebration of the Year of the Rat, Zhong Chen has released a new series of works on paper. Using traditional Chinese methods with exquisite ink skills on rice paper he creates a contemporary and humorous collection for the Year of the Rat.

The bolder and bigger pieces of mixed media on paper merge strong colours with his signature line work to create picturesque contemporary stories whist referencing characters from the ancient Chinese Ming Dynasty. Once agin by marrying Chinese and Western stories, styles and media a new collection has been created in the unique style of Zhong Chen.
