| Art affects us all so differently and often triggers surprising responses within ourselves. The essence experienced in a work may be in alignment with those intended by the artist or alternatively something deep and personal is stirred within the viewer. The connection of art is often a serendipitous event separate from the acknowledgment of the artistic talent, compositions, and colour. It is not surprising that we all have such different and diverse reactions to art. The response to abstract art, mark-making, and expressionism can be the most interesting and least obvious.
